The AK-200 comes in three different variants - one for each of the three classes respectively.
- Assault: AK-200
- Recon: AKS-200R
- Support: AK-200M
The AK-200 series is not featured in the in-game shop nor the Athena Armory (AAA) and can only be obtained from mystery boxes. They are purportedly tier VI equivalent weapons, but as the AK-200 series provides greatly superior tactical statistics, these weapons should be considered a separate, stand-alone tier.
All versions of the guns feature a hidden 2X headshot multiplier in addition to high base damage per round and good accuracy albeit lacking control. All versions come with a selector switch for automatic fire, three-round burst, and single shot enabling players to use them for CQC (spray-and-pray/run-and-gun) as well as accurate suppression and even a limited sniping out to medium range.
The AK-200 series are exceptionally good weapons - far better than their real-world counterparts - and, along with the special tier VI equivalent tactical armor, provide a powerful incentive for players to spend real money on mystery boxes. (see entry mystery boxes in this Wiki for drop percentages)
- AK-200's feature x2 headshot damage.
- In reality the AK-200 (assault rifle) and the AK-12 are the same gun as per Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AK-12
- "The Kalashnikov AK-12 (formerly АK-200) is the newest derivative of the Soviet/Russian AK-47 series of assault rifles and was proposed for possible general issue to the Russian Army." - Wikipedia
