The Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle (SCAR) is a modular rifle made by FN Herstal (FNH) for the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) to satisfy the requirements of the SCAR competition. The Mk 16 variant fires 5.56mm NATO rounds.
Notes:
- The Mk 16 is the first tier of unlockable Assault Rifles, focusing on stability and accuracy (which the player receives for free).
- Mk 16-H SV BLK is a unique Tier IX (9) weapon which was released in the Black Edition weapons pack.
- The magazines used with the Mk 16 are inaccurately depicted in the series. Each magazine in-game actually holds 10 rounds less than they're depicted to contain in game. The 30 round magazine = 20 rounds and 40 round magazine = 30 rounds
