The Vector is one of the most formidable SMGs in the game. It has two main assets to be aware of. The vector has one of the highest rates of fire in the game and it has astounding control and accuracy. The mediocre damage is completely offset by the sheer torrent of lead it spews. One on one, the vector can tear through even the most heavily armored foe in the game. However, it has one major drawback in the form of the magazine size and ammo economy. The standard magazine holds 20 bullets, while the extended magazine holds 30. With the insane rate of fire, you will find yourself empty after 3-4 bursts. So to maximize the strengths and reduce the weaknesses, I use: Foldable stock 1, laser sight, long barrel, grip, and the holy trinity of reflex open, extended magazine, and silencer. I chose to use a long barrel for several reasons. Firstly, it offsets the damage reduction from the silencer, allowing each shot to maximize its damage. Second, it increases the accuracy. Finally, it slows down the rate of fire. I believe this actually benefits the weapon because it reduces the amount of ammunition spent in a firefight, giving you the opportunity to engage another enemy. -- Indianbagel (talk) 01:44, April 6, 2015 (UTC)
Tactics[]
Because of the characteristics stated above, the vector is ideal for engaging targets at medium to long range. Firing in quick bursts, you can hit clusters of shots on opponents in cover or on the move. Many opponents underestimate the rate of fire of the vector, and will try to out dps you. You can punish them extremely quickly if you can shoot accurately. If you are flanking or forced into close quarters, always try to engage opponents one at a time, or pack a good pistol, because the magazine capacity will leave you defenseless. Also to use this gun effectively, one needs to aim accurately, because missing becomes extremely punishing with the very limited magazine. -- Indianbagel (talk) 01:44, April 6, 2015 (UTC)
